Tech firm brings ACA help to enrollees

Sometimes the consumers who need healthcare coverage are the ones who are least likely to sign-up. This is one challenge faced by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the federal agency who is responsible for administering the ACA. Surge in Obamacare enrollment

Enrollment under Obamacare care surged last week driven by the deadline for receiving coverage to begin Jan. 1, 2015. Unlike in 2013, the website (Healthcare.gov) is working properly. More than one million Americans have selected plans from December 6th to December 12th, bringing the total enrollments to 2.5 million according to, Health and Human Services Department. Demand for Obamacare coverage strongly accelerated in the days leading up to the Dec. 15 deadline, which the HealthCare.gov website saw more than 1 million Americans enrolling in one week and signs point to more enrollees are on their way.
