Obamacare Coverage Of Ambulance Transportation And Air-Transport

Are My Ambulance Services Covered By Medicare/Obamacare/Affordable Care Act?
When it is determined that any other type of transport to a critical-access health facility, a hospital, or a nursing facility for skilled medically-necessary services would threaten the life of the beneficiary, Medicare/Obamacare covers the costs of ambulance transportation.  It may also pay for emergency air-transport, when ground-transportation can not be obtained.
This coverage only extends to the nearest healthcare facility capable of providing the needed care.  The Healthcare Plan Beneficiary will pay 20% of the Obamacare/Medicare approved amount, and the Part B deductible applies.

Check with your Healthcare provider to determine if non-emergency but medically-necessary transportation to facilities such as a Renal Dialysis Center, for End-Stage renal disease, is also covered by your Obamacare/Medicare Plan.
