Obamacare Doesn’t Cover Everything In Plans Part A, and Part B.

  What’s not covered by Medicare Plans, Part A & Part B.

Even if Medicare covers a service or item, there are two aspects of coverage that are the financial responsibility of the insured individual.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     1. your coinsurance — the amount you may be required to pay as your share of the cost for services after you pay any deductibles.                 2. your copayments –the costs for health care or prescription drugs before any payments from Original Medicare, prescription drug plans, or any other insurance plans, are received.

Some of the coverage Medicare does not offer: Medical and non-medical care provided to people who are unable to perform the basic necessities of life, such as toilet requirements, cleaning themselves, feeding themselves, getting dressed, and mobility issues. Non-coverage also includes the long-term services provided in the home, the community, assisted living, or nursing homes.

Also not covered:                                                                                                                                                                                                  

  •   House cleaning services.
  •   Dental care, except for some preventative services.
  •   Optical exams and appliances.
  •   Orthodonture, for cosmetic purposes.
  •   Aural exams and appliances.
  •   Non-essential surgeries.
  •   Alternative medicines and procedures.
  •   Routine podiatry.
