A smart option is setting up Auto-Pay, a few things you should know

Until you pay your bill, you don’t have health insurance and your insurer will keep the money. Paying the bill will trigger a waiting period before an insurer can drop you and gives you some legal recourse. Not paying allows the insurer to drop you within 30 days.

Paying your marketplace or insurer is different state by state and health insurance choice but setting up auto pay is typically the norm.

If you do lose coverage because of nonpayment you cannot use special enrollment. Not paying is the only type of plan drop that you can’t do anything about unless you appeal. Mayny will owe the fee for nonpayment.

Personal coverage – you can only use a personal account, you can’t use a business account, small business account, or family members credit cards, etc.
