MORE PROBLEMS ARE EXPECTED ON THE HEALTHCARE.GOV SITE THIS YEAR

Americans who switch to a different insurer may end up with two different insurance policies.

Millions of people are expected to change or buy plans through the Healthcare.gov website, when the 2nd year of enrollment under ObamaCare starts on November 15th. However, some back-end parts of the system have had problems and others have not been created, which triggers difficulties, which could affect the thousands of consumers when their new planks kick in 2015.

Enrollees who have purchased coverage on the website for 2014 and have switched to different insurers for 2015 may end up signed up for two different plans, with bills for both, in January. Other consumers who have stopped paying their premiums for their plans in 2014 may find themselves automatically re-enrolled in the same plan for 2015 regardless of what plan they wanted.

These issues are predicted to primarily affect those who are enrolled in 2014 plans through the HealthCare.gov website. This group equals to about five million people.  The insurance industry said they cannot predict the exact amount of consumers who will experience these issues.
