U.S. GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES THAT 462,125 AMERICANS ENROLLED IN 2015 OBAMACARE COVERAGE
Obamacare’s second open enrollment for individual health care brought in 462, 125 consumers who selected their health care coverage in the first week, nearly half of these consumers are first-time customers. The department of Health and Human Services have set a goal of nine million Americans for 2015 plans. The new coverage was announced in 2014 for the first time as part of President Obama’s healthcare reform sometimes referred to as Obamacare. Of the 463, 125 Americans who selected one of the health care coverage on the Healthcare.gov website, 52% were consumers who has enrolled in a plan 2014. The balance of new consumers, include people in Nevada and Oregon who use their own federally run exchange for the first time. Those who enrolled in coverage last year, and do not re-enroll by Feb. 15, 2015 will be automatically re-enrolled.
