The Centers for Medicaid and Medicare are proposing new rules, which will give the agency power over new consumers who use the Healthcare.gov website to obtain health insurance. The new proposed rules would allow CMS to automatically renew customers’ policies ever year if he or she does not visit the site and renew it themselves. Without any prior knowledge of the customer’s current financials, health care situations, or anything else that could affect the type of policy he or she may need.
