NAVIGATING THE HEALTHCARE.GOV WEBSITE
Open enrollment for Healthcare.gov, will begin November 15th. This will be the second year of enrollment for health care coverage from the marketplace.
If you want health insurance on January 1, 2015, you must be signed up before December 15, 2014.
Last year, when the health care site was launched, there were several issues with the site and people were not able to enroll. However, Healthcare.gov has been overhauled and the Obama administration say it is not easy to use.
A non-profit group, will be stepping up efforts to help Americas get health care coverage. This group will offer free, one-on-one counseling sessions in which someone will walk you through the application process as well as your options. To find this group, search by your zip code on their website getcoeveredamerica.org, so you can find a counselor near you.
