Healthcare.gov to stick with Accenture

As 2014 ended, Accenture won a $563 million contract to maintain the Healthcare website for the next five years.

Accenture, who took over the contract in 2014 after the last contractors, fumbled the launch of the website in 2013.  The Healthcare.gov website is in the midst of 2015 open enrollment, which will end on Feb. 15.

Accenture touts out three main achievements during their Dec 29th announcements:

  1. Implementing usability improvements and re-enrollment capability to support the 2015 open enrollment.
  2. Completing all transition activities in an accelerated timeline
  3. Executing architecture changes to increase capacity

Accenture will also be reasonable for maintaining and improving the healthcare website for the next five years, which includes routine maintenance work.
