HEALTHCARE.GOV OPEN ENROLLMENT IS FIVE WEEKS AWAY

The states, which have struggled to maintain their healthcare exchange in the Affordable Care Act during the first round say they are on sure footing with five weeks to go before open enrollment begins on November 15th. A few states have fired their contractors who created their websites last year. Nevada has ditched their website and has opted to rely on the federal HealthCare.gov website for key function in 2015. The Obama administration say they are doing all the can to help the every state flourish, however; they do not have a one-size-fits-all solution. They are currently working on a state-by-state basis, which will provide support that will vary by state. The Healthcare exchange’s goal is to allow every uninsured American to shop for private health insurance plans online, with the help of income-based government subsides. The federal Government allows several states to run their exchange plans through the heallthcare.gov website, the District of Columbia and 14 states have opted to create their own marketplaces.
