HEALTHCARE.GOV MARKS A YEAR, WITH PLENTY LEFT TO DO

One year after the disastrous launch of the HealthCare.gov, website the tech debacle is a distant memory for many, but the federal Obamacare insurance marketplace is faced with a new set of challenges as the next open-enrollment period is set to begin in mid-November.  The issues included what will be the first-ever automatic re-enrollment of millions of existing Obamacare customers, the ongoing court challenges, which could cripple the basis of Obamacare, and the need to build a system that will generate accurate tax forms related to federal subsidies, which most enrolleed receive. There will be technological tweaks, which will change how people navigate the HealthCare.gov’s online screens, and the addition of two states, Nevada and Oregon, to the federal exchange platform after they each had major problems running their own markets.
