Americans want to select their own Health Care Polices

Nations driven by free markets, it is no surprise that the Affordable Care Act also known as Obamacare is not getting more popular. Americans do not want to be told what the should or should not, can or cannot purchase. The same goes for health care polices.

According to a poll conducted by Rasmussen Reports, American’s are pro-choice when it comes to health insurance, Americans do not want the U.S. Government mandating coverage:

  • 75% of Americans believe they should have the right to select between different types of health care polices, which includes the cost to cover just about all medical procedures and some, which cost less while covering only major medical procedures. Just 10% of Americans disagree, while 15% are undecided.
  • 83% of Americans believe he or she should have the right to select different types of health care plans, which include some with low premiums and high deductibles and others with higher premiums and lower deductibles. Only 6% oppose this choice whereas 10% remain unsure
  • 75% of voters believe that individuals and employers  should be allowed to buy health care polices across state lines, which is not allowed under Obamacare.
